About this worksheet
A free printable count the 3d shapes in the block tower scene worksheet with an answer key. Look at the toy block towers. Count each kind of solid and write the number in its box. First graders can do it on their own once they know the strategy at the top of the page.
Tips for using it
- Turn a real box or can in your hands before naming the drawing: count the faces you can touch.
- Remember that dashed lines are edges at the back. Count them too when you find edges and vertices.
- A sphere has no flat face, so it is the only basic solid that can roll in every direction.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
