About this worksheet
A free printable 3-digit addition with regrouping worksheet with an answer key. Add each column from right to left and regroup when a column makes 10 or more. It is aimed at third grade, around ages 8 to 9. Use small objects like buttons or cereal to check tricky problems.
Tips for using it
- Have your child say each fact out loud while writing the answer.
- Teach the make-10 trick early: 8 + 5 is the same as 8 + 2 + 3 = 13.
- Doubles (6 + 6, 7 + 7) are easy to remember and help with near doubles like 6 + 7.
- For column addition, always start with the ones column on the right.
