About this dot-to-dot
Connect the dots from 1 to 12 to draw a shiny apple with a stem and a leaf, then color it in. Big numbers and only a few dots make it a good first dot to dot for preschool and kindergarten. Page 2 of the PDF is the answer key with the finished picture. Only a few dots with big numbers make it a good first dot to dot for ages 3 to 5. Use real objects like coins or pasta to build the number before writing it.
Coloring ideas
- Say the number out loud each time you trace it.
- Trace the big number with a finger first, then color it in your favorite color.
- Count the pictures twice: once by pointing, once by coloring a dot on each one.
- Put a finger on the next number before drawing the line, so the pencil never jumps to the wrong dot.
