About this worksheet
A free printable even or odd with pictures worksheet with an answer key. Circle the pictures in pairs. If one is left over, the number is odd. First graders can do it on their own once they know the strategy at the top of the page.
Answer key at a glance
1) 12 is even; 2) 5 is odd; 3) 11 is odd; 4) 8 is even; 5) 9 is odd; 6) 4 is even.
Tips for using it
- Only the last digit matters: 4,371 is odd because it ends in 1.
- Even numbers can be shared fairly between two people; odd numbers always leave one over.
- Color the hundreds chart first: the stripes make the rule obvious.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
