About this puzzle
Free printable number pyramids with an answer key. Each block is the sum of the two blocks below it. Add or subtract to find the missing numbers. Medium puzzles need a little planning, but no guessing. Look for a block whose two neighbors below are known, or one known neighbor and the block above.
Tips for using it
- Have your child say each fact out loud while writing the answer.
- Use small objects like buttons or cereal to check tricky problems.
- Use subtraction to work downward and addition to work upward.
- Start with the easiest clue or the fullest row, column or box.
