About this worksheet
A free printable multiplication arrays worksheet with an answer key. Count the rows and the dots in each row. Write the multiplication sentence. Second graders usually finish it in 10 to 15 minutes. Circle the facts that took longest and practice just those tomorrow.
Answer key at a glance
1) 3 × 5 = 15; 2) 2 × 5 = 10; 3) 2 × 6 = 12; 4) 2 × 4 = 8; 5) 4 × 3 = 12; 6) 5 × 4 = 20; 7) 4 × 6 = 24; 8) 2 × 2 = 4. The key has 9 answers in all.
Tips for using it
- Skip-count out loud to check any fact you are not sure about.
- Learn the easy tables first (2, 5, 10), then use them to work out harder facts.
- Remember that facts flip: if you know 3 x 8, you also know 8 x 3.
- For the 9 times table, the digits of the answer always add up to 9 (up to 9 x 10).
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
