About this worksheet
A four-picture story about a muddy puppy: it rolls in the mud, gets a bubble bath, is dried with a towel and ends up clean with a pink bow. Kids read four mixed-up sentences and match each one to its picture number. The answer key is on page 2. Big pictures and only a few tasks per page make it a gentle start for kindergartners. Give the collar a bright color.
On this sheet
tells about. Which picture is it? Write its number in the box. The dog gets a bubble bath. Dry the dog with a towel. The dog rolls in the mud. The dog is clean and happy.
Tips for using it
- Brown and white like a beagle, or golden like a retriever.
- Before numbering, ask your child to tell the story out loud using first, next, then and last.
- Lay the cut-out pictures in a row before gluing, so mistakes can still be fixed.
- If a step is tricky, ask what has to happen before it: can you eat the cookies before you bake them?
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
