Spot the Difference: Frog Pond
Here are two pictures of a quiet pond with a frog on a lily pad, a mother duck, tall cattails, a dragonfly and a snail on a rock. In the bottom one, 5 things are not the same as in the top one. Every change is a big object, so even 4-year-olds can find them. Mark each find on the tally circles and color both pictures afterwards. Page 2 has the answers circled in red.

About this worksheet
Here are two pictures of a quiet pond with a frog on a lily pad, a mother duck, tall cattails, a dragonfly and a snail on a rock. In the bottom one, 5 things are not the same as in the top one. Every change is a big object, so even 4-year-olds can find them. Mark each find on the tally circles and color both pictures afterwards. Page 2 has the answers circled in red. Easy puzzles build confidence before moving to bigger grids.
Tips for using it
- Scan in a pattern: compare the top left corner of both pictures, then move across and down, so no part gets skipped.
- Check the sky and the edges too; changes often hide away from the main character.
- Say what you see out loud (three candles, two candles) to catch changes in numbers.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
