Spot the Difference: Royal Castle
Here are two pictures of a fairy-tale castle with two towers, flags, a drawbridge over the moat, a crest above the gate and trees on the hills. In the bottom one, 10 things are not the same as in the top one. Only sharp eyes will find all ten: the changes are tiny details for grade 3 and older. Circle the differences, count them on the tick circles and finish with coloring. Answers are on page 2.

About this worksheet
Here are two pictures of a fairy-tale castle with two towers, flags, a drawbridge over the moat, a crest above the gate and trees on the hills. In the bottom one, 10 things are not the same as in the top one. Only sharp eyes will find all ten: the changes are tiny details for grade 3 and older. Circle the differences, count them on the tick circles and finish with coloring. Answers are on page 2. Take your time: every hard puzzle is solvable by logic alone.
Tips for using it
- Scan in a pattern: compare the top left corner of both pictures, then move across and down, so no part gets skipped.
- Check the sky and the edges too; changes often hide away from the main character.
- Say what you see out loud (three candles, two candles) to catch changes in numbers.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
