About this worksheet
A free printable hexagon tracing worksheet: trace a big dashed hexagon from the green start dot, see a honeycomb that has the same shape, trace a row of hexagons that fade from dashes to dots, then draw hexagons on your own. For preschool and pre-K. Big pictures and only a few tasks per page make it a gentle start for kindergartners.
On this sheet
draw your own hexagons. Honeycomb cells are hexagons. Trace the hexagons. Trace the little hexagons.
Tips for using it
- Sit at a table with feet flat on the floor; good posture makes tracing much easier for little hands.
- Let your child trace the line with a finger first, then with a crayon.
- Praise staying close to the line, not perfection: wobbly is normal at this age.
Printing tips
Download the PDF for the sharpest result and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). The PNG is 300 DPI, which is handy for tablets and coloring apps. This page is free for personal, family and classroom use.
