About this worksheet
Six rows of colorful fruit in AB, AAB, ABB, ABC and AABB patterns. Kids say the pattern out loud and draw the fruit that comes next. The answer key is on page 2. Little ones can do most of it with crayons, and a grown-up can read the short questions aloud.
Tips for using it
- Point to each item and say it out loud, then say what comes next before drawing it.
- Name the pattern with letters once your child gets it: red, yellow is an AB pattern.
- Use real objects (blocks, buttons, snacks) to build the same pattern before doing the page.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
