About this worksheet
Odd one out by category: which one is not a fruit, not an animal, not a vehicle, not a bug or does not live in the sea? Each row has three pictures that belong together and one that does not. The answer key is on page 2. It is made for pre-K and preschool, roughly ages 4 to 5, with big pictures and one number per page.
On this sheet
Which one is not a toy? Which one does not live in the sea? Which one is not a vehicle? Which one is not a fruit? Which one is not a bug? Which one is not for cold weather?...
Tips for using it
- Start with the pre-K pages where the different picture is a different thing, then move to the small differences.
- Ask why after every answer; naming the difference (color, size, way it faces) builds vocabulary.
- Cover all rows but one with a sheet of paper so younger kids focus on a single row.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
