About this worksheet
A wide 10 by 6 grid with a blue car: windows, a red taillight, a yellow headlight and two black wheels. A good next step for kids who finished the 6 by 6 pages. The answer key is on page 2. First graders can do it on their own once they know the strategy at the top of the page. Pick a bright body color and gray tires.
Tips for using it
- Add flames or racing stripes.
- Copy one square at a time and check where each line enters and leaves the square before you draw.
- Draw lightly in pencil first; when the whole picture is in place, trace over it and color it.
- Turn the example picture upside down for a challenge: it stops your brain from guessing and makes you copy what you really see.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
