About this worksheet
A first grid copying page with big 6 by 6 squares: an orange cat face with black eyes and a pink nose. Kids find each colored square in the small picture and color the matching square in the big grid. The answer key is on page 2. It suits ages 4 to 6, and little ones can count the pictures with a finger. Try a ginger tabby, a black cat or a calico.
Tips for using it
- Color the inside of the ears pink.
- Copy one square at a time and check where each line enters and leaves the square before you draw.
- Draw lightly in pencil first; when the whole picture is in place, trace over it and color it.
- Turn the example picture upside down for a challenge: it stops your brain from guessing and makes you copy what you really see.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
