About this worksheet
A free printable make 10 addition houses worksheet with an answer key. Both houses hold all the ways to make 10, but the floors are mixed up. Fill in every empty window. First graders can do it on their own once they know the strategy at the top of the page. Say each bond out loud: 6 and 4 make 10.
Tips for using it
- Use counters split into two piles to check a tricky bond.
- Fill the floors in order (0, 1, 2 ...) and watch one number go up while the other goes down.
- Use fingers or 10 counters: split them into two groups for each floor of the house.
- Check a finished floor by adding the two windows; the sum must match the roof every time.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
