About this worksheet
A free printable three-room number houses worksheet with an answer key. Each floor has three rooms that add up to the roof number. Find the missing number. It fits second grade, around ages 7 to 8. Use small objects like buttons or cereal to check tricky problems.
Tips for using it
- Have your child say each fact out loud while writing the answer.
- Fill the floors in order (0, 1, 2 ...) and watch one number go up while the other goes down.
- Use fingers or 10 counters: split them into two groups for each floor of the house.
- Check a finished floor by adding the two windows; the sum must match the roof every time.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
